Making a Great Impression...

...is easy and FUN to do with Cuttlebug embossing folders, available at the Die Cuts R Us Store!

Whether you're a beginning, intermediate, or advanced cardmaker...whether or not you do it for fun, for a business, or are just plain ol' obsessed like me, adding dimension and texture is always going to make your cards stand out when you are putting together cardstock, stamps, papers and embellishments.

One of my favorite ways to add texture, and also one method that is tried and true above the rest is to use my Cuttlebug embossing folders. It is rare that I don't use one on a card, but I'm going to highlight a few of my favorites! On this first card, I used a portion of embossed cardstock with the Swiss Dot embossing folder just to add a bit of background texture. One of the nice things about these versatile folders is that they are compatible with MOST die cutting systems, I know Cuttlebug and Big Shot for sure. They are available in TONS of cute patterns and are very inexpensive, allowing you to use them over and over again to add just the right amount of texture on your cards or paper crafting projects!

This next card was an "all white" challenge I did and boy, did that scare me! However, it was a few paper punches and my Paisley embossing folder to the rescue as you can tell it REALLY made this card come alive and made it much more interesting to look at than just plain white space. The last card I made used the Swiss dots as an all-over background texture. Although there are plenty of other elements to this card the swiss dots don't overwhelm it by adding quiet dimension and interesting texture.Don't forget to check out the Die Cuts R Us webstore to see all the available designs!

See you back here tomorrow for a CHALLENGE involving some of that texture and dimension I've been talking about! You won't want to miss it!

I love the rich texture embossing adds to your cards, especially the white on white. FYI the Cuttlebug folders work perfectly in my Spellbinders Wizard.

Jessica, your examples are all fantastic! Love the pink and white card, but your white on white is so darn cute. Love that stamp! Great job on your "Main".

Smiles!

Jessica, I love your cards. I too am a big fan of my embossing folders and I rarely do a card without using one. I have to almost force myself sometimes, though, to use something other than Swiss Dots. Loved your "Main" discussion.

What beautiful cards Jessica!!! I love my Cuttlebug embossing folders also. No matter how plain your paper is, they can jazz things up. Sometimes I don't even need "gasp" patterend paper to make a creation when using my Cuttlebug:)
