Tuesday DCRU Challenge: LAYER IT!

Hey everyone!

So glad to be back again to host this week's Die Cuts R Us challenge...which I have simply titled, LAYER IT!

Yes, that's right! We want to see what you can do with your papercrafting tools-whether it be diecuts, embossing, etc. to create a LAYED embellishment on your card, layout, or project! You can use punches or diecuts to create a layered embellishment for your card-aka flower, ribbon
slide or tag, etc."

We'd love to see all of your lovely creations, so please remember to LEAVE A COMMENT on today's post telling us where we can view your work! Mr. Linky has been acting up on us so just be sure to leave a comment on this very post and we'll be sure to check out your submissions!

The DCRU Store offers TONS of possibilities for creating dimension and texture to your papercrafting products! Whether it's a die cut, a punch, or anything in between, be sure to check out the store and have a blast creating!

Check out this ADORABLE flower pot card that Cara created. I love the layered, die-cut flowers and the beautiful papers she chose-it really pops off screen, doesn't it? So pretty!

Amber created this stunning layered-flower card using different Cricut cartridges:Recipe:

Embossing: Cuttlebug embossing folder: Swiss Dots
Scalloped Edging: Martha Stewart Doily Ribbon

Diane created these awesome layered flowers AND ladybugs for her card-there is dimension galore here! LOVE it!Here's her recipe:
For the flowers and stems I used 2 Cricut cartridges Accent Essentials and Walk in my Garden both available at Die Cuts R Us. The flower pot and lady bugs both were made with Cricut Walk in my Garden available at Die Cuts R Us. I used dimensional foam on the flower pot and on the lady bugs.

Margie created this stunning card using these really cool looking dimensional flowers and gorgeous butterfly paper!
Gwen made this adorable two-page layout and used the following recipe to create her layout and embellishments:Recipe:
Epic Six
Quickutz Limited Edition Flirt (font and strawberry)
Quickutz birthday cake & cupcake
Xyron 150 (soon available at DCRU)
DCWV the Glitter 'Sweet' Premium Stack

For my card, I used some different flower punches (Ek Success), dimensional pearls, and rhinestone brads to create these flowers for a flower pot card I've been wanting to try! I hope you enjoy it! I had a blast making it! Recipe:
Cardstock: PTI Dark Chocolate
Designer Paper: The Greeting Farm "Anyaversary" paper pack
Stamp: "Megan" from The Greeting Farm
Copic markers ,EK Success flower punches, SU Scallop Punch, Liquid Pearls (Ranger), SU Rhinestone brads

Well, I hope you've enjoyed today's challenge! We can't WAIT to see how you "Layer it!"

Don't forget to leave a comment here letting us know you played along! A winner will be chosen over the weekend and announced next week! Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone and thanks for spending the beginning of your week with me here on the DCRU DT blog!
