Tuesday Challenge #7

Not only am I pleased to be hosting the challenge this week. I'm very happy to be making some very exciting announcements.

Let's get down to business...the challenge for this week is a wide open door for all kinds of creative productivity. Remember all those medias we discussed in Monday's post? Well, I asked you to keep them out for a reason. Use 'em. Paints, embossers, chalks, pens, stamps, inks, glitter, you got it...we welcome it. Create a lay out, card or any type of project using any crafting media and be sure to post it here by Friday before mid-night.

Why post? Well, you will get the opportunity to be one of our DCRU Challenge Winners, either the in Top Three or our Overall Winner. But wait! There's more... Not only that we are also going to offer you something new and improved...something exceptionally innovative...no, not a set Ginsu Knives and no, it won't cost you the outrageously low price of only $19.99 (plus shipping and handling and all applicable state taxes). This new and exciting offer is direct from DCRU, it's wonderful owner, Claudia and her Design Team. The chance to win prizes! Oh yes, that's right we are offering all of our participants the chance to win a prize in a monthly drawing. Please click here to read all the details as outlined by Sammye Jo. Isn't this exciting?

Speaking of exciting...you have got to see the fantastic projects the Design Team has put together for you. We'll start off with this gorgeous creation made by Amber. This is a little pillow box anyone would love to get. Isn't her bow pretty?

Here is Amber's recipe: Core'dinations Cardstock, Martha Stewart Ink, Cuttlebug & Swiss Dots Folder, Sand Paper, Spellbinder Nestabilties, Papertrey Ink Stamps,
Flowers, Ribbon, and Tulle.

Carole submitted an adorable little card that would make any pet lover smile.

Carole's recipe: Card Base: A2 Size
Quickutz Dies*: flower/dog/cat
Pure Love Sentiment: Cricut: Opposites Attract cartridge*
Quickutz Embossing folder: Large Polka Dot*
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Swiss Dots*

Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangle*
Chalk Pad shadowing, gel pen and acrylic paint dots.

Despite Cara being very ill, she was gracious enough to make something for this post. I sincerely appreciate it, Cara. Her little embossed owl is darling.

If you would like to make a similar card, here are the products that, Cara used: Spica Glitter Pens, Cuttlebug Swiss Dot and Owl Flourish A2 Embossing Folders, 3D Dots White Adhesive Foam, Cardstock, photo corner punch, chalks-Stampin' Up; Flower and Rhinestones - Prima

Just look at this fresh little card that, Diane made. Isn't the Chloe character just adorable?

Diane's recipe: Size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Sizzix Chloe die; Markers and watercolor pencils;card stock from DCWV THE SWEET STACK; Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder; Chocolate chip cardstock SU.

Our next lovely design is one of my favorites. I love the colors she used and the Anya stamp is one I really want to add to my personal collection. So, thank you, Margie for sharing this fantastic card with us.

Margie's recipe: Papertrey Ink and SU CS; The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Collection Stamp Set; Copics; Copics Atyou Spica Glitter Markers; SU Chocolate Chip Ink for distressing; Epic Six Tool; Quickutz Flower Card Embossing Folder; Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Victoria Embossing Folders; Pearls; misc Suede Ribbon.

Jessica has been a very busy girl too. Not too busy to make a great project using a dry embossing technique. Love the heart and the bold colors.

The recipe for Jessica's card: SU Tangerine Tango, Vintage Violet, KIwi Kiss. DP from DCWV Citrus Stack, Unity Stamps August Kit of the month Stamps, CB Swirls Embossing folder, White Craft pad, Joann clear embossing powder, Stickles, Copics, Martha Stewart Zig Zag punch, Nestabilities, and paper piercer.

For the "Hostess with the Mostest", Sammye Jo put together a sweet little gift box.

SJ's recipe includes: PP: Making Memories; Star Die Cuts QuicKutz;Embossing Folder: Swiss Dots (Provo Craft); Stamp: Mixed Messages (Papertrey Ink); Ink: Basic Black (SU); Ribbon: Offray; Other: Used Stampin Up Stamp Container; Chocolates Optional :)

This lay out was put together by none other than myself. My girls in our yard after we put our fall display up last year.

Recipe: Quickutz dies 2x2 scarecrow, pumpkin, maple leaf, sunflower; Quickutz 4x8 Alpha - Aquarius; Cuttlebug embossing folder pumpkin harvest; Copics

Now, for the ultimate privilege...and what I believe is my final announcement in this posting...I get to introduce the project created by our very own, Claudia! She has made the sweetest card for this challenge.

Claudia chose these products to create her card: Quickutz Emboss A2 "Diamonds & Dots" Folder; Quickutz 2"x2" embossing shapes "Shapes Pattern"; Spellbinders "Labels Eight"; Bo Bunny Flutter Butter "Stripe" & "Burst" Pattern Paper; Bo Bunny "Flutter Butter" Flowers; Bo Bunny "Flutter Butter" Jewels; Cricut Simply Sweet Cartridge;
Medium & Large Zots; Zig 2 way Glue Pen Chisel Tip and Bazzill Cardstock.

I told you I had a lot of reasons to be excited. So, hop on board the happy train and find all of your neglected goodies. Put something fun together and post it right here under the comments section. (Remember to post the actual URL address and not just your blog address. To do that simply go to your blog, find the post heading, click on it, then go to your URL address on your tool bar, copy it, then paste it with your comment.) It will be a pleasure to look over all of your masterpieces.

Keep those hands busy!

Smiles!
Gwen

P.S. Due to technical issues...AGAIN, my project will be posted later this afternoon.
