I never considered myself to be artistic, then I went to a Stampin Up party in 2001and realized I didn't have to be able to draw a strait line to be creative and make beautiful cards. Ever since, I've been hooked on making cards! I love great paper, tools, ( my Wizard, Cricut, Zyron ) ribbons (I have way too many!) a good sale (which is why I have too many ribbons) and my family. I've lived in Michigan with my wonderful husband of 25 years who supports, encourages me, and is always willing to make whatever crazy idea I think I need to house my ever growing supply of card making "Stuff"! I have a 24 year old daughter who is searching for a teaching position, and my 19 year old son attends community college. Along with card making, I love cooking and reading the antique cookbooks I collect. I have participated in card clubs, card swaps, and contests. I was a winner in the World Cardmaking Day contest at PaperCraft Magazine and my card was published in the March/April issue.
I have a card shop at www.1Cardcreator.etsy.com. because I can't possibly keep or give away all the cards I make. I have a blog at www.1Cardcreator.blogspot.com.
where I often give tutorials on the cards I make. I am really excited to take this opportunity to share my passion for handmade cards with all of you.
Hi, I'm Carol, also know as "Cara." I live in NJ and have been happily married to my husband who has had me laughing for over 15 years now. I'm lucky to be a stay-at-home-mom to 2 lively little boys. We recently adopted a 2 year old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and life has been even crazier but loads of fun. When I'm not doing the domestic goddess thingy, I enjoy card making, scrapbooking and sell my paper designs at www.CarasScrapNStampArt.etsy.com. You can also visit my blog www.CarasScrapNStampArt.blogspot.com. I'm honored to be part of the Die Cuts R Us first Design Team and my hope is to inspire you to create unique paper designs.
Hello all, I'm Gwen. I was born and raised in Ohio; currently residing in a small farming community with my family. I am the SAHM of three lovely girls and a proud step-mother to another wonderful young lady. They are Brooke, 16; Anna, 14; Bekah, 3 and Aubrey 1. My husband is a wonderfully patient man. He is also one of my biggest supporters when it comes to scrapbooking. Todd has even taken time off of work to make sure that I can get to a crop while he watches the girls...how's that for a KEEPER!
When I was introduced to scrapbooking about ten years ago, I knew I was on to something great. Little did I realize the impact this hobby would have on me. It has been a great way to express myself, highlight special moments in my children's lives, share our family history and celebrate the everyday moments that build a life experience. Scrapbooking has been an activity that I can enjoy with my mother, best friend and sister-in-law. Getting together to crop is what I call a modern day quilting bee. Its an opportunity to socialize, create and bond.
Wow! That sounds so serious...so, here are some little fun facts that you should know about me: It took me ten years to finally do a lay out about myself. I'm very indecisive. I hate to wash dishes. I have a toilet paper phobia, I'm terrified that I'll run out of it! I love to laugh. Firmly believe that a smile can change some one's day. Think that one of the greatest inventions was self-adhesive postage stamps. My favorite season is autumn. Spelling is not my strongest subject. My children make every day a day to celebrate.
Many thanks to Claudia, Sammye Jo for the opportunity to be on the DT. I'm so looking forward to working with all of the amazing women who are part of this team.
{Gwen is our Quickutz "go to" Gal!}
I am fully retired after 50+ years in the mortgage lending/banking industry. I spend my days going from card making, scrapbooking, beading, quilting, sewing and I am so blessed and grateful to have these fun filled days. My 13 year old Springer Spaniel dog, Heidi Sweetface, keeps close guard on my wanderings.
I am so excited to be part of the Design Team for Die Cuts R Us. I hope that I create some inspiration in my designs.
