Spotlight On...BUTTERFLY WISHES...

Hey everyone,

I am really excited to be here today, and even moreso, honored.  Each week, the DCRU DT so enjoys bringing you spotlights on some of our featured products.   Not only do we love informing you of what's available in the store, but we also love to show you some of our favorite things and ways to use them!

So, needless to say, when Claudia asked me to spotlight my stamp set, Butterfly Wishes, made by The Greeting Farm, I was just thrilled!

Back in July when this set was first released, it was my goal to bring customers a versatile, all-occasion set but also add my own personal touch to it.  Most of you know me from my blog, The Whimsical Butterfly.  Butterflies have always been a fascination and love of mine and so I wanted to incorporate that, too.

On top of those very important things, I wanted the set to be something that could be used as the focal point of a card, too.   So often we put images on the front of our cards and it is always fitting to do so, but to me, there is something striking about using a quote or sentiment as the focal point of the front of a card.  Here are some examples of this, using the Butterfly Wishes stamp set:

In addition to being able to use them so intechangeably on the outside of a card, of course they make an excellent sentiment set to be used traditionally for the inside greeting as well.   This set is a great value-you get 11 stamps for a retail of $15.00 and it's actually ON SALE for $13.50 the Die Cuts R Us store!   It is made of deeply etched red rubber and you get a wonderful impression every time you use it.

Do you like the idea of using sentiments as the focal point of your greeting cards?  Do you own this set or another like it and have samples of cards that you have made using the same technique?  We'd love to see them!  Leave a comment here, whether it's linkin to something you've made or just to leave a comment in general letting me know what you think about the set.  I'd love to hear from  you!

Have a wonderful Friday, everyone!

This is one of my fave stamp sets! Although I am ashamed to admit that I haven't used it as often as I would like to... and it's also one of the sets that I won't share ;)
