Guess Who's Coming To Town...

Hello everyone! Can you believe its Wednesday already? This week has been busy and exciting for me. Have some exciting news to share with you! I tried to share this excitement with my husband, but he didn't quite get it. I know you, my crafty friends, will be excited with me.
First, I'd like to share a couple more cards I made with the new March Mini Card Kit. I have had lots of fun with it. I really like the Kraft card stock; well Prism calls it Packaging Brown Wrap... but it is one of my new favs. The March kit focuses on Basic Grey's Origins DP; did you see the wonderful creations the design team made for yesterday's challenge using Origins?

Did you get your March mini card kit yet?

Now for my exciting news. Tim Holtz is coming to a scrapbook convention that is held very close by every year; he is teaching a few classes, and I was able to register for one of his classes before it was completely full. I am taking his "Discovering Distress" class; here is the class description:

Distressing has never been so diverse! See for yourself why the new palette of Distress will have you distressing a little different. You will learn numerous techniques including wrinkle-free distressing, color layering, direct to paper, blending and shading, and incorporating stamped imagery. Get hands-on experience with Distress Inks, Powders, Crackle Paint, and Distress Stickles as we showcase their unique abilities and put it all together creating several artful and distressed tags. Get ready to add a little distress to your life…

I am so excited; May 6th just can't come soon enough.
Have a happy scrappin' and card makin' day!
